All information below was for the 2022 pool season, which runs from mid-June through Labor Day.

2022 POOL SEASON:

NOTICE REGARDING FOOD & BEVERAGES OUTSIDE:  
No food or drink shall be permitted within the 4’ minimum deck area of the pool per ORS 448.011 333-060-0180. Glass containers are not permitted within the pool enclosure whatsoever.

ANNOUNCEMENT!! NEW POOL & REC CENTER RULES effective 7/14/22:

Unaccompanied Minors at the Pool & Rec Center:

  • Unaccompanied minors must be age 10 or older.
  • Children age 7-9 must be accompanied by someone age 14+. 
  • Children 6 and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian (18+).

New Swim Test (for deep end privileges)

The swim test has been expanded to ensure that swimmers have the endurance and skill needed to swim safely in the deep end.

  • This test is administered at the lifeguard’s discretion, regardless of age.
  • Deep end privileges may be revoked if you appear to have difficulty in the deep end (even after successfully passing the test).
  • The swim test will not be administered during busy times.
  • There is no pushing off the wall, stopping at either end of the pool to catch your breath, nor taking any breaks between laps.
  • The new test is:
    • 100 feet of freestyle/crawl (4 laps- back and forth twice)
    • 100 feet of backstroke (4 laps- back and forth twice)
    • 60 seconds of treading water

The 2022 Pool Schedule will be the same as last year. Copies are available at the Rec Center or you can download a copy here.


POOL RULES:

Many of our rules are defined by the Oregon Health Authority and Oregon Revised Statutes and they are non-negotiable. The OHA Rules include (but are not limited to):

  • Requirement to shower before entering
  • No glass anywhere in the pool enclosure area
  • No food or drink within 4′ of the pool deck
  • Swim diapers required for non-potty trained persons
  • No running, no diving, no rough play
  • No animals
  • No swimming if you’ve had diarrhea in the past 2 weeks
  • Water and alcohol don’t mix

POOL REGISTRATION:

Every family is required to fill out a new Pool Registration form every year. The 2023 pool registration forms will be available in June.


EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION:

Early Bird Registration forms are available at the Rec Center. You will need to bring your $10.00 deposit to the pool during pool hours in order to obtain a key. All keys are numbered and must be returned at the end of the pool season in September, otherwise you forfeit your deposit. (PROPOSAL to increase the deposit to $20.00+ for next year)

ARCADE GAMES DURING POOL HOURS:

The game systems are available for play during the Open Swim and Family Swim sessions. Minors are not allowed to be on the premises during the Adult Swim sessions, no exceptions.

POOL PARTIES:

The pool is once again available to rent for private pool parties! Parties can be held on Friday or Saturday nights and they must be scheduled in advance (to ensure staffing). Pool parties cannot be booked during Opening Weekend, but are available to be booked the rest of the pool season. Check the Rec Center Calendar for date availability and go to the Rec Center Rental page for details on how to book your party.
